Russia: 'The Russian Job' - Police chase driver into airport terminal building
An inebriated man, Ruslan Nigmatullin, drove straight into the terminal of Kazan International Airport on Wednesday night, in a desperate attempt to flee the clasps of the Russian police force during a car chase. Nigmatullin's car swerved into the baggage claim terminal after smashing through an entrance to the terminal and only stopped when it crashed into a small restaurant. The 40-year-old man was reportedly driving at a high speed to evade the police. However stealth forsook him, as he left a path of destruction in his wake; he tore down an auto barrier, drove through a parking lot and collided into glass doors en route to terminal 1A. No one was injured in the incident and police detained the driver. The airport's cost of damages is estimated at 6 million rubles (€94318, $98409).
